Privacy policy
Filapt transforms your images inside your browser. This page states what is sent, when, and what never is.
Your files are not uploaded
The images you drop are read, decoded and re-encoded by your browser, on your device. Neither their content, nor their name, nor their dimensions reach a server, and nothing is kept: closing the tab erases all of it.
Measurement and error reports, if you accept them
The cookie banner lets you accept everything, refuse everything, or choose category by category. Audience measurement covers Google Analytics (where visitors come from, which pages and tools they use; Google sets a 13-month _ga cookie and keeps the data for 14 months, with a transfer to the United States under the Data Privacy Framework) and our own measurement (for each file processed: formats, engine, sizes, duration, technical traits of the image and the outcome of the run, kept 90 days then reduced to daily totals). Error reports send us the technical error when something breaks in your browser; they are kept 30 days. None of this data contains the content or the name of your files. Refusing removes no feature. Your choice is kept for six months, and the « Manage cookies » link at the bottom of every page lets you change it at any time.
Server logs
The server sending you these pages logs the requests it receives, as any web server does: IP address, page requested, date, declared browser. These logs serve the operation and security of the site, and are tied to no file activity, since none ever reaches it. Their retention period is [to be provided].
No account, and cookies only if you accept them
Filapt asks for no account to process your files. Without your consent, no measurement or advertising cookie is set. Your choice itself is kept by your browser, on your device.
